Our practice approach
Our practice approach emphasises a direct relationship between our principal lawyers and our clients, ensuring the premium quality of advice we provide, and avoiding any unnecessary delegation and cost.
We work in small focussed teams where the matter requires broader expertise, or it is appropriate to delegate work to maximise efficiencies and to reduce costs. Any delegation is under the direct responsibility and supervision of the primary principal lawyer.
We believe in cost containment. Although our fees normally reflect the amount of time spent on a matter, we do not rigidly charge hourly rates. We are open to discussing our fees for a particular matter or retainer, and structuring them to the needs and preferences of our clients.
We do not seek to profit from client expenses. All third party expenses are on charged at cost. We absorb the cost of reasonable internal disbursements such as local telephone calls, standard postage, faxes and photocopying.
Secondments and in-house counsel
Where required, we are able to provide the services of one or more of our lawyers to act as in-house counsel to clients to work on specific transactions or to assist with a leave or other vacancy.
