The Right Size
Norton Gledhill’s record of achievement commands first class clients and work. We are well resourced and large enough to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.
At the same time, we are small enough to sustain an open and friendly professional environment in which everyone at the firm knows each other and in which bureaucracy and politics have no place. As a trainee or junior lawyer you will not be placed onto a large discovery or due diligence and then forgotten about. You will be given the opportunity to learn and your advancement at the firm will be based solely on merit.
Your Development
We give our staff the support, guidance and resources necessary to develop their skills and produce excellent work. We emphasise practical, hands-on training in which trainees and junior lawyers work directly with principals and have real exposure to clients.
The firm has an active internal continuing legal education programme. Our individual departments also run ad hoc sessions on issues of law or practice particular to their areas of practice.
We encourage our staff to attend external seminars on relevant topics, to prepare presentations for internal and external groups and to contribute to professional organisations and publications. We provide financial support and study leave to a number of our lawyers undertaking relevant post-graduate study and consider proposals to do so on a case by case basis.
We maintain comprehensive library services, including desktop access to a wide range of electronic legal and business tools and journals, and hardcopy resources.
