General Counsel identify Peter Nelson as one of Australia’s best lawyers

As part of a 2010 Legal Department Benchmarking Report prepared for the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, Norton Gledhill’s Peter Nelson was nominated as one of Australia’s best 109 lawyers by 160 leading general counsel who were asked which lawyers would be part of their “ideal firm”.

The ACLA Benchmarking Report also found that big companies expect to reduce the amount of work allocated to national full-service firms while planning to make greater use of specialist or boutique firms, not entirely because of cost but rather because of the commerciality of their advice, exceptional service, value for money and better outcomes.

Peter’s standing as an energy lawyer was also recently recognised in Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession, where, among the top 30 dedicated electricity lawyers in Australia, Peter was included as one of only five in their ‘Pre-eminent’ class.
